Quick Start
Get started with MGSM by following this guide to set up the platform for your game-server/community.
Pre-requisites
Preparation
Before you start the onboarding process, please make sure you followed the preparation steps to ensure that you have all the necessary information ready. While not technically required, it will make the onboarding process much smoother and quicker.
Setup
Creating an account
To get started, you will need to create an account. You can do this by visiting the pricing page and selecting a plan. You can get started for free, and you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Once you have selected a plan, you will be taken to the set-up page, where you will need to provide some basic information about your community or game-server. This information will be used to create your instance and set up the platform for your needs.
Stripe Onboarding
Next up, you will need to set up your Stripe account. MGSM uses Stripe Connect to handle payments and subscriptions, so you will need to create a Stripe account if you don't already have one. This process is quick and easy, and you can do it directly from the MGSM platform. Once you have created your Stripe account, you will be taken back to the MGSM platform, where you can continue with the setup process.
Stripe is subject to KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations, which means that you will need to provide some basic information about yourself and your business. This is a standard process and is required by law. Stripe performs regular audits to ensure that all accounts are compliant with these regulations, to make sure you comply, please check out the Stripe KYC documentation for more information.
Subscription
Next up, you will be asked to pay for your selected plan. This is done through Stripe, and you will be taken to the Stripe checkout page to complete the payment. Once you have completed the payment, you will be taken back to the MGSM platform, where you can continue with the setup process.
Instance Settings
When that's done, you will be taken to the instance settings page. Here, you will need to provide some basic information about your instance, such as the name, URLs, and Discord information. Your instance will be created/deployed with these settings, but you can always change them later.
When you're done, it should look similar to this:
Lift off!
Once you have provided that information, simply hit "Deploy" in the bottom-right corner of the page. This will start the deployment process, which may take a few minutes. In the meantime, you can configure your domain and learn the fundamentals of MGSM.
